The decent weather is still rewarding the fishermen.......

Continued decent weather is keeping the fishing good, with a bit of a cooler spell forecasted for the next few days then followed by a warmer and drier spell for the weekend and throughout the start of next week. At this time of year the naturals are starting to die back so that means you may only have a limited amount of time to fish flies such as daddies, cdc's and hoppers, this will be generally around the warmest part of the day - 11am to around 3pm. But that said buzzers are still very popular, fish them very slow without a indicator and always with the ripple going from left to right. Fishing lures is starting to dominate the better catches with black and green fritzs, blue flash olives and snake flies continuing to fish well, try and fish them near the cages or over any deep shelves as you will find with the low sun the fish will take any available cover on the brighter days. Fish of the week goes to Wakefield angler Mr Gary Collin with a gold head nymph caught double fished from a sink tip line. DOUBLE LIMIT BAGS are going to continue until the end of October due to the popular demand.
