A bit of welcomed rain.......

Finally get the rain after what seems an age but that does not slow down the fishing. Buzzers, yellow owl's and cdc's have been awesome when the conditions have suited with anglers reporting catches of 20 fish per angler. Always try and fish with the ripple as this will add many more fish to your returns. Yet again the fish have kept up in the top three foot of water which means you are generally always in the strike zone, washing line methods have favoured the floating line fisherman.....although double hook up's have been reported with most anglers suffering breakages due to the strength of the fish. Plenty more of the 5lb fish being stocked therefore bags are weighing off much higher than usual with 2 fish for 10lb very common. Fish of the fish goes to Mr Anthony O'Brien from Rawtenstall with a monster rainbow that was returned safely caught on a damsel fished from a floating line.
