The better weather continues.......

It looks like another decent week at Pennine with temperatures touching 14 degrees by Wednesday which almost feels tropical after the winter we have had. The warmer days have produced the better fishing days with the late afternoons fishing the best when the water temperature is at it warmest, buzzers and dries have produced good results more so in the bay area and behind the cages on the top lake. Most large dries have had interest but most times the fish are just playing with the fly, so scale down the fly a bit or even try and strip it back to create a bow wave and watch the fish chase the fly. Fish of the week goes to Mr Derek Horsefield with his first double of the 2015 season, he also caught a gold tag winning him double points. Hopefully by late this week I will have some of the new squirmy flies in stock, not tried them myself but had great feedback from other fisherman....its supposed to be the new replacement for the App's bloodworm, big boots to fill!!!!! Also a stocking of blues going in early this week into the top lake.
