Back to business.......

After the heavy snow fall it's good to see a bit of better weather, conditions are still a bit cold on the previous years but at leased we are now dry and out of the 0 degrees. The fish have already started to move out of the bay area which is natures sign of the water slowly warming up, and with the odd buzzer flying around it's looking like Winter may finally be behind us. Best tactics have been olive damsels and green and black fritzs on intermediate lines whilst floaters have still produced fish on buzzers and bloodworms but not until after lunch when the water has warmed up a touch. The lower lake has fished very well  from the dam wall on egg flies when fished near the cages. Fish of the week goes to Mr Rob Threadgold from Oldham with the very last cast of the day caught his first ever double on a olive damsel lure fished from a sinking line in the bay area on the top lake. Hopefully by my next post I will be starting to predict that black buzzers and maybe dries are a good choice as fish are starting to surface feed.....well it would be nice!
