Another great week at Pennine......

If you want great fishing and good value for money then Pennine most be high on your list for trip out these next couple of weeks or so. With the double limit bag still running and the continued stocking of quality fish surely we cannot be beaten locally. Other than a bit of a blip on Sunday afternoon due to the strong wind and bright sun fishing has been excellent with most day fishermen going home with around 20lb of fish each, best bag was 37lb going to Mr Scott Ellison from Barnsley. He caught a total of 19 fish, taking 6 for 37lb not bad for his first ever visit. Best tactics have started to swing more in the favour of the lure men due to the cooler nights, but if you wish to fish naturals good catches are still possible between the hours of 10am and 4pm when the day is at it's warmest. Try black snakes, olive dancers and cats whiskers on your floating lines, whilst buzzers, bloodworms and floating frys have been popular on floaters. Fish of the week goes Mr John Marsh of Bolton with his first double of the season caught on a cats whisker booby fished from a floating line from the top lake.
