The weather is still trying to disrupt the fishing.......

Continued poor and false weather reports are keeping the rods from the banks. This week we were forecasted snow on the Pennines, but so far no sign of any notable snow, it maybe a better idea to try the old fashioned method of sticking your head out of the window rather than believing what you hear from the forecasters or from your mobile devices. The fishing for those who have braved to have a trip out has been good, with good catches to black buzzers and white egg flies in the bay area of the top lake, bloodworms continue to fish well on intermediate lines with olive fritzs also worth a go. Fish have been around the 6 foot mark in most areas of the lake, with the exception of the bay area were they still remain in the 2 to 3 foot mark. The lower lake hot spot remains from the dam wall in front of the cages or from platform 2. Fish of the week goes to Mr Ceri Kenyon from Littleborough with a very plumb buzzer caught double, the fish was caught on a floating line from the bay area. Angler of the week goes to Mr Andy Stone from Norden with two 4 hour sessions in a week producing a 45+ fish haul, mainly to buzzers and black blobs.
