Starting to warm up.....

Slowly but surely the weather is getting better with the natural fly life beginning to show more often. This being said you will start to need to look out for the wind direction and try and fish with the wind if you are wanting to fish patterns like buzzers and small dries. Bloodworms are still producing with amber ones working very well on intermediate lines. Egg flies are also a favourite with a great fish of 15lb being caught by the Total Flyfisherman magazine last Monday, the fish was safely returned. Fish of the week goes to Mr Stephen Barbour from Macclesfield with a great fish caught on damsel lure fished from a floating line. Also had another 20lb plus fish caught by Pennine regular Mr Pete Rodgers but sadly no photo as the fish was returned. He caught the fish on a "Lawson" white lure which also accounted for another 28 rainbows. Plenty more big fish ready for the bank holiday weekend.....hopefully pushing for a seasons record.
