Still being graced with good weather........

The great weather continues to provide good fishing at Pennine with plenty of good bags being pulled out on a regular basis. Tactics have been mixed as the fish continue to stay quite high up in the water column so buzzers, bloodworms and diawl backs are all good. As the fish are up in the first 5 foot of water only a intermediate is needed to fish for them when using a lure, good patterns have been white rabbits, black snakes and olive damsels. Hotspots have been from the dam walls on both lakes with around the cages still producing high numbers to egg flies and yellow buzzers. Fish of the week goes to Mr Steve Carr from Nottingham with a nice mid sized double caught on a white rabbit loaned from new friend Ken Jones! Steve pulled the fish out on a floating line. Other notable catches were Mr Les Butterworth with 18 fish all to lures fished from a floating line, Mr Dave Williams from Sheffield with 14 fish to snakes and Mr Ken Ellis with 16 fish, best at 12lb all caught on olive mini damsels. Finally I must apologize for the conduct of a fisherman that fished Pennine this week, his behavior is not accepted by the fishery and his identity and methods have been reported to all north west waters so that it will not happen again, sorry again :)
