At last a bit a cloud......

After what seems a age we will be finally graced with a more cloudier outlook and a bit of a dip in the temperatures which are defiantly going to be well received throughout the fishing industry. On the last couple of days the cloud has began to work a bit of magic, bringing the fish slightly higher up the water column with the early mornings fishing the best to sedges, daddies and skinny black buzzers. As the day progresses the intermediates have then taken over as the fish drop down a bit to around 7 foot, try mini damsels, hot tail zonkers and black cats whiskers also try and mix up your retrieve with long and short twitchy pulls the fish seem to take the fly better when your fly moves with a bit more of a unpredictable nature. Fish of the week goes to Mr Alan Jones of Delph with a nice double caught on a Black buzzer fished from a floating line from the top lake. Other notable catches have been Mr Dave Manning with 23 fish to black boobies and black buzzers fished from platform 4 on the lower lake and Mr Peter Mason from Elland with a 3 fish bag of 16lb including 2 6lb blue trout, also he returned another 13 fish mainly to hot tail zonkers fished from the life buoy on the top lake. Please be aware of the of the future Tour De France (July) as some of the roads coming from Halifax/ Ripon (A58) will be closed, all motorway journeys should still be Ok as long as you exit from junction 21. I will update the travel issues at a later dates if they change.
