Springs back......

After a brief storm this week the more settled weather is forecast to return this weekend with temperatures pushing 18 C on Sunday. The sudden rainfall earlier this week will definitely stir up the water and hopefully bring back the naturals to the levels that they were around a couple of weeks ago. Buzzers should return to be a good choice in your fly selection with skinny ones probably fishing the best, try and fish them as a team and without a sight indicator as this will allow you to cover more water. On the lures try the usual cats whiskers and olive bunnies generally fished better on intermediate lines with a fluorocarbon leader of no more than 7lb. Hotspots have been platform 4 on the lower lake, the life buoy on the top lake and the cage areas on the dam walls on both lakes. Fish of the week goes to Mr Chris Schofield from Rochdale with a nice rainbow that beat his previous double figure fish personal best by 3lb. Chris caught his fish on a olive and red fritz fished from a sinking line.
