The fish start to bubble.......

At last a bit of summer arrives, with a nice gentle breeze accompanied by warmer evenings and just a bit of cloud it could be said it's almost perfect for top of the water fishing. The weekend evening late passes are having a great time with good catches to buzzers and small dries, with Mr Howard Price out fishing his pals catching 22 fish in 4 hours. Also the Ward brothers hitting 31 fish after hours on 10cm olive snakes fished from sinking lines. During the daytime fishing has been steady with the weather playing a big part in the fly choice. Overcast days have been more floating lines with dries, bloodworms and buzzers, whilst sunny days have been intermediate lines with snakes, cats whiskers and dawsons olives. Fish of the week goes to Mr Jay Kennedy from Nottingham with a full tailed beauty caught on a black fritz fished from a sinking line. Other notable catches were Mr Jeff Priest from Runcorn with a 3 fish limit of 27lb best weighing in at 15lb. The next big fish stocking is due anytime so keep your eyes out for the newsletter arriving in your mailbox, and if your not a member and you don't want to miss out then sign up on the home page.
