It's all about perseverance............

Lots of anglers ask me where are the big fish? or how do I catch a big fish? and what on? many questions that will probably lead to the same answer. It's not generally the fly or the location or even the retrieve, it is mainly about "perseverance" you need to remember the longer the fly is in the water the better chance you have of catching a big or any fish. Try moving around the banks when possible casting into areas that have not been lined for a while. Don't always cast straight out, try a side cast down the dam wall and aim for any sudden drop offs. A man who knows a lot about perseverance is this weeks fish of the week, Mr Mark Woodrow from Salford with his second double in consecutive weeks. Mark caught the fish in the bay on a black blob fished from a floating line. Angler of the week goes to Mr Andy Stone from Norden with 31 fish in 8 hours including 3 fish for 16lb and 3 nice browns to 3 1/2lb. Best tactics for this week have been a yellow dawsons olive, black snake fly and a cats whisker on a intermediate line fished around 6 foot, while on the floaters buzzers are producing a bit between 11.00 and 2.00 and the usual bloodworm and egg fly when fished around 4 to 6 foot.
